About YIKT

Young India: Know Thyself (YIKT)

Dr. Nikhil Yadav is the Mentor and Lead Resource Person of Young India: Know Thyself (YIKT), a flagship youth leadership initiative of Vivekananda Kendra.

Inspired by Swami Vivekananda's philosophy, the programme helps young people cultivate self-awareness, leadership, character, and national responsibility — empowering them to discover their inner potential while preparing them to contribute meaningfully to society.

Through lectures, workshops, camps, mentoring sessions, and experiential learning, YIKT enables students to live purposefully, build strong character, and become responsible citizens grounded in India's civilisational values.

Leadership

Developing the qualities of a responsible, compassionate, and effective leader rooted in Indian values.

Character

Building integrity, honesty, discipline, and moral courage as the foundation of a meaningful life.

Emotional Resilience

Learning to face challenges, setbacks, and uncertainties with inner strength and equanimity.

Discipline

Cultivating consistent habits, structured routines, and the willpower to pursue one's goals with dedication.

National Responsibility

Inspiring young people to see themselves as active contributors to India's growth and civilisational mission.

Value-Based Decision Making

Developing the wisdom to make choices aligned with ethical principles, long-term vision, and societal good.
